My name is Willem, I was born in 1952 and I have 3 brothers (Berend, Simon and Cor) and 4 sisters (Dorien, Ellis, Ina and Johanna). I joined the Royal Dutch Navy in 1971 as an Electronics Engineer (Service and Maintenance) and after 2 years of education and training, I worked on several Navy ship classes: Destroyers, GW-Fregats, S-Fregats and M-Fregats. In between there were also periods of education, training and work as Instructor (theory and practice). The last period I have worked specifically in the IT. I retired in 2002, after 31 years of active duty in the Royal Dutch Navy.

I live in the North-West of The Netherlands (Den Helder, Holland) since 1972. I married with Pia in 1975 and we got 2 sons, Gerard and Albert (twins, 1980). Gerard married Janet in 2006 and they are living in Lelystad. Albert married Martine in 2006 and they are living in Schoonhoven. Both sons are working in the IT.

I made these pages to give some information about my interests and coded them completely by hand, to keep it simple, fast and effective.
