ynn is our oldest cat. She is a fine example of an Aby, not only where her looks are concerned but also in character. She has a ruddy coat colour, a colour also called 'usual' in other parts of the world indicating that this is the basic coat colour in Abys. Her coat is clear without any bars or stripes. Her chin used to be cream-coloured, but has turned white through the years, enhancing her wild looks!

ynn loves people, and she loves food. She is a lap cat but also loves to sit on your shoulder, especially when you are preparing or eating food. She is in the kitchen the moment someone opens the fridge and she always checks the shopping bags on anything edible. She has a lot of little peculiarities, like drinking water from a glass on the worktop, watching animal programmes on television, in particular programmes featuring birds, or balancing on four feet on the rim of the litter tray while doing her thing. When I have been away, no matter if this is for a short while or a couple of days, she knows when I will be back and sits on the window sill waiting for me.

ynn is a people-cat, not a cat-cat. Although she loves helping to raise Jaguara's kittens, she hates it when the older kittens and cats play rough with her. She is a cat that acts before thinking, which so every now and then results in grumbling and rumbling. But when happy, she smiles and purrs for ever!
